In my childhood days some of my thoughts realted to railways:
1) I,with my family regularly used to visit my relatives in Kuppam & Tirupattur at that time we used to travel by bus fm Kuppam to Tirupattur,wht the fun in that route is the road & Bangalore-Chennai main line will go parallely,in between u have 5 rail gates and the bus has to wait for the passing train, and i used to sit in the window seat of the bus watching the track ,passing by trains.I thought that the track fm Jolarpettai to Salem is same as the track fm Jolarpettai to kuppam.

i saw the train in my hometown bound to Yesvantpur,I was in a thought that Yesvantpur is a town somewhere in Karnataka.
3)Since B-C is double track trains bound to Bangalore goes in the uptrack,cmg fm Bangalore in the down track iam always confused how this trains change the tracks.
But now sitting @ my home Iam in a position to tell which train is passing Kuppam on hearing the loco honk by just seeing my mobile,all the trains in the Bangalore-Jolarpettai section are very well noted including with train nos,except some night trains,even some of the trains of Jolarpettai-Salem route r also noted to me.
