The 6 hours allocated between calicut and ernakulam is absurd !....I have seen this train being stopped at stations like angamali, vallathol nagar etc and making way for other express trains. Can easily reach ernakulam after 6.30 when the station is relatively vacant during that time

yes too much slack......but i guess it is put there to compensate for the delay which occurs very frequently in the KR during monsoon
