hi guys. i have a confirmed ticket from mumbai central(bct) to new delhi (ndls) on aug.kranti rajdhani exp for 7th sept. i want to know if i can board the train at borivali (bvi) instead of bct as borivali is very close to my residence ?
Get the boarding point changed minimum 24 hrs prior to departure of the train by visiting PRS. You cannot directly board at BVI instead of BCT, as your vacane seat will be given to RAC passenger.
technically u are not supposed to board from a station other than your boarding station. But usually TTEs wait for some time to the passenger to show up. To avoid risk i suggest u better get the boarding point changed from BCT to BVI and then comfortably board from BVI without any glitches.
visit nearest PRS, along with your tkt and also with original ID card and give application for BP change. Normally TTE wait for one station... but some TTE may not wait.
U need to change your BP 24 Hrs prior to train's dep. from its starting stn.
