If this train gets an extension to LKO/LJN, then which could be the best route in terms of time , patronage and demand?
VIA ... MIZAPUR-ALLAHABAD-KANPUR-UNNO-LUCKNOW.
as no train on this route from varanasi, and also in terms of patronage- ALLAHABAD-KANPUR are biggest city of UP.

should get extended but via BSB - SLN - LKO ...if it is via ALD definitely it will get late and will caught up with high priority trains...
trains from varanasi to lucknow - via sultanpur or via pratapgarh or via faizabad are single and have a fare number of trains, but connectivity to kanpur via mizapur is required from varanasi, and it can be simply run as intercity between varanasi-kanpur-lucknow via mirzapur for the benifit of whole region-
