I came to know that there is a provision in PRS for OPTED TATKAL SCHEME in some selected trains, which means a passenger willing to travel in future date and can opt under the scheme which issues TATKAL tickets well in advance and NOT ONE DAY BEFORE as usual practice and such passengers will be alloted confirmed berths A DAY before the Journey prior to start of regular TATKAL at PRS/IRCTC at 10-00 A.M (Opted TATKAL Scheme is available only at PRS Counters and not for e-tickets)
Example for 12765 TPTY-AMI Exp Tatkal Tickets are available on for booking form TPTY-KCG for 07-09-2013 even today (03-09-2013) - SL-50,3AC-6,2AC-4 (Gen quota SL-Regret-PQWL#30,2AC-PQWL16 / WL9,3AC-PQWL# 3 / WL# 3)
