At present there are 15 pairs of trains which skip allahabad . this includes 3 rajdhanis like ranchi, sealdah , bhubaneswar and 3 durontos as well as many superfast trains. The speed of these high speed trains reduces when they have to enter and exit allahbad . many times they are stopped at allahabad outer for 15 - 20 minutes and this results in delays . And Superfast trains like sampoorna kranti get 30-40 mins delay due to which passengers face lot of troubles.IN winters this situation worsens and trains get delayed by 4-5 hours unnecessarily.

Details : Dear Customer, Mughalsarai-Allahabad section is highly saturated section utilizing more than 100% line capacity. Many trains running in MGS-ALD section are involving in surface crossing at many places, Engine reversal/Changes at ALD station causing timings loss to trains. Infrastructure development works is being taken by DFCCIL which fulfill the future requirement....

They accept that MGS-ALD section is utilizing more than 100% line capacity which is true infact but still RB is not doing anything..MGS-ALD must be tripled asap with increase in number of Platforms at MGS..
