According to senior official of Rly Ministry the present LHB design Non-AC coaches are meant to carry 250 passengers whereas seating accomodation is only upto 90....They're upgrading the axle load so that the present LHB design coaches can carry upto 400 passengers during peak hours....My question to railfans is can present coaches carry 400 passengers...??? Even if it carries 400 passenger, wont all the passenger die out of suffocation?

Keeping aside the dying to suffocation part Prabir ji, shouldn't we appreciate that they're working on the flaws?
In peak seasons, when realistic Indian railway situations tend to roof travel even in electrified section, 400 is not an impossible number to touch. Then again if you consider a safety factor of 0.5, 200 is just about normal in such situations.
