This is just to avoid doubts.If I get a Σ train do I need to get down in transists or will it be a direct train?
you will have to get down..its basically chain link created by our members,if you click the link you will see the buffer time available between each trains

Those are connection chains. Which have one or more transfers involved.
Technically any direct train is the best train to take.... from Chennai (MAS) - Varanasi (BSB). Rest of all the Σchains look to take longer time as per the listing.
