Proposal coming up for extension of ERS-SBC to TVC. would be waste of a day train taking the distance into account, and the number of TCR-TVC-TCR trains during that times.

well, it may be KCVL. One train from TVC was extended, which was Parasuram, which used to have a overnight occupancy at TVC stabling lines (PM at MAQ). So, this one has space availability in TVC for now.
Maveli Exp is now running as special passenger train to NCJ and NCJ folks lobbying for extension of the third of the erstwhile "5 MAQ-TVC trains". May be that is the reason MOS Kodikkunnil Suresh trying to get Mangala/Tea Garden Extended to TVC. As such Tea Garden is useless to TVC as what it needs is a connectivity to KIK/VLKN through NCJ-MDU.

Wonder how they would manage with the existing time schedule. It starts from ERS at 9.10 am. Janshatabdi from TVC arrives Ernakulam at 9.15 which would mean it would be moving ahead of janshatabdi till ERS with just a 10 min gap! On its return journey from bangalore till ernakulam, it reaches Ernakulam at 5.00 pm with Venad moving 10 min ahead of it and janshatbdi again following it (janshatabdi 17.15 hrs at ernakulam). The timings towards bangalore have been formulated keeping platform availability at bangalore central. Already coimbatore/erode passengers were miffed that because of extension till ernakulam their quota has come down drastically . Amidst all this, I doubt whether they will be able to do it

well reservation data in this train shows that some days it reaches WL where as other days, it has lot of availability in 2S. If extended, it might have to start from TVC after Venad, if running via ALLP, and reach TVC after JS with JS overtaking it somewhere near ALLP. The idea I guess is due to extension of Parasu, there is a stabling line available. But I doubt whether it can have PM at TVC..!

Well then,a slight reshuffling of the timetable would be in order.Once extended to TVC,it could be preponed by about 4-5 hours.
