I think Garibrath were introduced keeping in mind the extra revenue due to Side middle berths. In due course of time it was removed due to -ve feedback by passengers, So gradually GR concept was put in cold storage. Now we see Concept of duranto's dying up and Ac express picking up.

As per a newspaper report, which I had chance to go through, only AC-3T and ACCC are positive revenue operations of IR in passenger segment, rest all are negative, So to maximise the positive revenue generation passenger class operations, GRs were introduced by Sh. Laloo Prasad. The only thing holding back intro of more GRs seems to be credit going to Ex RM by present RMs,

I think smtg went wrong as Total seats is 673 and WL cleared 615.
How come 95% ppl cancelled their tickets...it's impossible.
This train always cleared high WL.
How come each day ppl book n cancel..???
