lately I have been seeing that the patronage for most Duronto trains are increasing as lots of them come up in the PNR Analysis section as WL tickets.
Going through them and by my personal experience I have seen that high WLs(also depends on the number of coaches) get cleared in duronto.
The reason I think behind it is that there is no Tatkal facility in Duronto trains and also as there are no PQWL and RLGN quota in this train.

I think your analysis is very rational and logical. No tatkal in Durantos. But do they have RAC ?
