Agree, WAP4 is still one of the best locomotives and hauls many SF trains and has hauled Rajdhanis having Avg speeds in excess of 80 KMPH.. No way its a bad loco, that too when it comes to pulling only 18-20 coaches.. AFAIK this is capable of hauling 26 coaches at 140 KMPH.. Which is way above the coach carrying capacity and MPS of Indian trains..

Rajdhani , duronto and shatabdi - in trains ke aage koi tik nahi sakta ,,, loco doesnot matter 1%

Sahi baat hai, inko samjhana ashambhav hai.. Sab kuch section controllers pe depend karta hai.. Agar SK NCR ki train hoti aur sirf Ald tak travel karti to woh bhi Ald Duranto se kam priority pe nahi chalti aur 10-12 trains ko toh har travel me overtake karti, jinka overtake jaruri bhi nahi hota..

Bas unko instructions aate hai, isko late karna hai.. Aur phir train ki kahaani shuru ho jaati hai, phir train chahe kitna bhi time pe chale use late kar hi diya jaata hai..
Many times I have seen SK arriving or crossing Ald at around 1.30 am, but still gets delayed in reaching Mgs, kabhi kabhi to 7 ghante lag jaate hai Ald se Mgs jaane me.. Bus itna kaafi hai uss train ke liye jise 2 hour me Mgs jaana hai.. Use agar aap 3-4 ghante bhi laga do to kaafi hai..
