deserve? All shatabdis on Ambala route are highly successful ,profit making and overburdened.You can check the availability of 12013/14,12029/30,12045/46 and 12005/6. How Ambala doesnt :deserve" a new shatabdi?And its not about ambala,it is about all important intermediate stations between major stations and national capital.
SRE/MOZ already have dehradun shatabdi and running a train on SRE-MOZ and DUI-SAG-RTK will anyhow increase the travel time which fails the purpose of shatabdi express to provide fast connectivity in short time.
Its like running a mumbai rajdhani on the route of Jaipur/Ahmedabad instead of Kota-Ratlam. Ofcourse it...

ya running a shatabdi or janshatabdi via ldh umb sre is waste of time instead of of ldh umb pnp. ambala cantt is among top 100 busiest station of india in terms of ticket booking n one of biggest junction of northern railways . so runnig it via ambala is profitable for railways
No buddy.. dont club me with railway officials. I am a common man who feels bad to pay shatabdi fare and reach delhi in 5:30 hours where other shatabdis take 4 hours and other superfast trains take Sampark Kranti, Malwa,Shane Punjab, Swaraj express takes just 5:00 hours on shorter route. I am obsessed with less travel time . No offences meant.
