This is with reference to my entry No.90031 of today about the newly introduced train Ernakulam Pune Fast Special, and the reply thereof ( both reproduced below):
- "This is another instance of Kerala appropriating all the trains/routes to itself. This train starting from Ernakulam halts at 7 stations in Kerala, ONLY 1 in Karnataka, 1 in Goa, and 2 in Maharashtra before touching Pune. Even minister of state in Railways Muniyappa from Karnataka is a helpless spectator."

Please check other SUPER FAST trains that are running through KRC to KERALA like Dehradun, Amritsar, SK, HAPPA/TEN , all have only minimum stops in this route. -
Further to my contension, let me enlist below the trains running between Thiruvanatapuram/Ernakulam and Panvel showing corresponding number of stations touched by them in the states viz. Kerala:Karnataka:Goa:Maharashtra respectively, wherein the strong bias towards Kerala is quite evident :
2431 THIRUVANANTAPURAM RAJDHANI 5:3:1:3; 2217 KERALA SAMPARK 9:2:1:1; 2483 KOCHUVELI AMRTSR 9:1:1:1; 2202 KOCHUVELI LOKMANYA TT 10:5:2:3; 2997 TIRUNELVELI HAPA EXPR 11:3:1:2; 2287 KOCHUVELI DEHRADUN EXPR 9:1:1:1; 2617 MANGALA EXPRS 18:4:2:4; 2977 MARUSAGAR EXPRS 8:6:2:3; 6346 NETRAVATI EXPRS 15:10:4:5; 6338 DWARAKAPURI EXPRS 16:8:2:4; 6312 KOCHUVELI BIKANER EXPRS 13:4:1:4; 8334 THIRUVANANTHAPURAM VERAVAL EXPRS 21:7:2:4; 6336 GAMDHIDHAM EXPRS 20:8:2:4

Sir the point is Kerala is a small state with high density of population and moreovee you can find people from kerala in any part of India, that is they keep moving in search of employment, businesss etc. Where as it is not like that in Konkan region where you can see vast streatches of fields, hills, etc without any habitants. Even KRC has started to construct new railway staion in konkan region recently mainly to avoid delay in crossing of trains and not bcause of passenger or population requirement. I request you to travel once to Keralan and see the situation and not by just referrign to the timetable dont go for a conclusion. There is a proverb in Kerala.....regarding truck drivers who comes from other states. They say Kerala mai poora gaave hee........
Thanks.

Contd.........Railway starts trains giving priority to states/region etc. eg . Mangala exp.Nethravaty etc priotity is given for Kerala state. likewise Matsyagandha priority for Karnataka why it has more stops in Karnataka znd less stops after Goa? likewise all trains are classified like that........so many things to explain.getting late and no time.......One more think please follow the same link (initial) in future dont start a new one for same discussion/matter
Thank you
