Instead of extending, its better to ask for a new train from Rajkot. a better day ICE or else an ONT would do a good job for the distance of 740 km.
when railway authorities accepted the requests fm gen public they will tell many reasons.....for completing a work there r no reasons but for halting a work 1000 reasons can be quoted.....
What about a link express from RJT till ADI?I'm sure it won't pose a problem.
Not quite. The reason quoted by them is correct, though non availability of rakes is a different issue. Shatabdi qualifies as an inter city express for which there can never be an extra rake. IF at all it has to go to Rajkot and come back the same day, then this Shatabdi should run at a speed that of NDLS-BPL shatabdi, which though difficult, yet not impossible, as there is consideration for high speed rail sector between NDLS and ADI.
Actually there is no need of any extension of 12009/10 at RJT.It is not even demanded.The reply by Railways lets us the fact.If possible an I/E can be run betwn ADI-RJT
