Manish Chowdhury 43 blog postsFriends, I've a confirmed ticket from Delhi to Mumbai on 12215 for 3/Dec. However I now want to change it to be upto ST (Surat) only. While I can always get down at ST, is there a way I can get a refund of the ST-BDTS portion of the ticket by changing it now itself, or while travelling in train during journey.

Thanks all guys. Since the difference of fare is Rs. 75 only, I don't think the effort involved is worth the money :)
Thanks Rajagopal. I was WRONG. Refund is possible in the manner you have outlined. I did avail this facility when I short terminated my journey by NDLS ASR Shatabdi at Ambala instead of travelling to ASR and got a TDR from the SM there. I filed a claim for refund but I dont remeber where I did that and got it after 4/5 months. That was about 10 years ago. My apologies to Manish.
I found this rule in earlier set don't know whether its still in force or not sir...Mostly refund amount will come back to us by Post..
