(1) Our family's three passengers are confirmed & one child is wait listed on a single PNR for Shatabdi . If wait listed is not converted to confirmed, then will W/L will be allowed to travel or not.
(2) In return journey, W/L is converted to confirmed. When will we able to know coath/seat no. Is there any facility to get the same through SMS?
Please guide.

one more clarification - when he is holding WL tkt, is it necessary to purchase another general ticket and pay the difference? Will WL not serve the purpose? this is for my knowledge.
