Though off topic, I cannot resist myself from congratulating one of the grand daddies of Madras (Chennai), the seat of metropolitan corporation, The Ripon Building on its centenary today.

The Ripon Building was commissioned in 1913. Built in Indo-Saracenic style by Shri. Loganatha Mudaliar, it took four years at a cost of INR 7,50,000. It is named after Lord Ripon, Governor-General of British India and the Father of local self-government.
