it should b developed ad trsin hub. because of its location. and. importance as in war time all. forces are to b deployed along pak border. it can b imp junction for connectivity between. border areas like. bikaner. jodhpur. jaisalmer. suratgarh. phalodi . sirsa. ludhiana. jalandhar jammu. pathankot . its will b between them.

but bhaisaab APDJ division hatake NJP shift karne ka plan hain...toh HSA & entire Dooars ka kya hoga?
Railway ke liye it will be the best decision but dooars ke logon ke liye worst.

how can iit'll be the best decision for rlys? as their is already a divisional HQ in Katihar,so again after 183 km there will be a Divisional HQ @ NJP,,,,& next HQ will be 370 km east @ RNY...but if APDJ then it's in the middle portion of KIR-RNY....also if division is shifted & NCB FLK section doubled then SGUJ NMZ HSA will be a heritage line...rly will never run trains in that section.

No APDJ is not in the corner its @ the centre & ideal location of The Divisional HQ.
APDJ in west connected to 161 km away upto SGUJ....in south its connected to Bamanhat 75 kms away via NCB....from west of NCB its connected to Raninagar Jalpaiguri(108 km),APDJ via Samuktala Road in east is connected to Dangtal(105 km) ,New Coochbehar in East is connected to Dangtal(121 km)...again APDJ is connected to Dhubri(104 km) east & more such web of rly tracks covering in the form of Maynaguri Jogigopa(Total 251 km) fromMaynaguri Road to Abhayapuri Assam coming under APDJ division...The newly gauge converted New Mal Jn Changrabandha Section also comes under APDJ divsn.SO its in the centre not in corner.
