Nashua NH USA 950 blog postsThe latest 22110 disaster seems to indicate this train is beyond repair, at least in its current avatar. Instead of indulging in repeated NCR/WCR bashing, maybe we need to adopt the stance of innocent until proven guilty instead of vice versa :-) This will serve to cool down flared tempers as well. Here are some possible solutions:
1. Upgrade the train to a Rajdhani ASAP. Only then will it get top priority throughout. I don't see why that should be a problem since it has all the ingredients of a Rajdhani - all-AC train connecting Delhi to Mumbai with limited halts and MPS of 130 kmph.

1. Needed badly now due to 'their' incapability but sadly its USP of offering the fastest possible Rajdhani type connection at SF Fares will be lost

I have no doubt that a CSTM-NZM Rajdhani via Diva-Vasai will be extremely useful to the Central suburbs of Mumbai, since it will provide the first Rajdhani-level connection from CSTM/DR/TNA (so KYN) to Delhi with a running time of 17.5 hrs or less. If the LTT-NZM AC Exp. taking around 22 hrs. is in high demand from LTT/KYN, then surely a similar train that takes 17.5 hrs or less will be in high demand as well. I think the problem lies with WR wanting to start a 3rd Rajdhani from their territory, so the idea might not fly.
This train is just a victim of politics to me....can't believe that some simple decisions are not taken correctly in certain stretch of its run.
But anyways, I'll like to see this train move to the original time slot proposed by CR (after its frequency increase);

One more suggestion. Earlier 12629 used to reach NZM 0915 and now that slot is empty since KSK (via Pune) new arrival time is 1300, so why cant they schedule AC exp in that slot.
