one more thing if 15 seats available in a particular dayn i have to book 3 seats .. is it possible that i will get 3 seats in a row (with one seat in senior citizen quota) or 2 in a row n one senior citizen seat somewhere else ??

That can't be guaranteed it depends on availability.Booking them at the earliest could give you more chances,System tries to alot the seats/berths under one PNR all in same place & near as possible. If you particularly want them all near visit PRS and request the clerk they could help you out.
n as Mr.Ateek said any 1 proof mentioned by IR is sufficient to travel under senior citizen quota there is absolutely no need to take any pain for any certificate for the age proof.. right?
Right...Say a PAN card which has DOB to confirm age and also acts as ID of one of Passenger under the PNR should be enough.
not guaranteed. may times I have experienced that berth no 65 68 as SS qouta seats in most of coaches of train leaving from LTT.
As per your query seems difficult to get 3 in row. If 15 seats are avl, I suggest that wait for it to become RAC and then book. chances are very high of getting 3 seats in a row. but keep checking regularly should be the least possible RAC . better less than 10
