I enquired on the internet about the availability of seats in 1AC from Howrah Junction to Sambalpur.It shows "Available 8" dated January 7, 2011. But when I enquired the same upto Hirakud station it shows "CLASS DOES NOT EXIST".
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? If I want to travel till Hirakud station in a 1AC compartment what shall I do?
Please suggest

It gets detached at SBP and again added back to 8006!

Yes...its kept idle..actually I knw this bcos I frequently travel by this train frm HWH to SBP and Bk as my office has a plant at Sambalpur
Oh must be a Steel plant then! U really have a tough day all thruout it seems! :P
Rake remains idle as there is no other option, if you extend it to next possible big stations say TIG, you would need additinal rakes. That is the reason. And this train originally was running till SBP, then they kept extending. If it carries on like this this would become a circular train :-)
Book till SBP. Kirakud is some 10 kms from SBP, you can take a cab.
