can i travel from howrah to durgapur in Poorva Express with general ticket?

Sir, In gen too its not allowed for that short stretch!!
Trust, Clerk will not issue ticket, if traveler inform Poorva Exp till DGR!! Distance Restriction implies for Unreserved travel & further, reservation cant be made for HWH-DGR leg, as already been restricted!!
PS: Traveler may travel but if caught, will have to pay fine for MPD!!

Yes Vinay, you are right. I am also saying that travel with a general tkt is not permitted. And as you rightly pointed out clerk will not issue the ticket if you state that you will travel by Poorva to DGR. As for reservation I have done it myself up to both Durgapur and Asansol with the help of TTE.
Thats not reservation but onboard journey & TTE must have collected minimum distance difference, if it wasnt the case of non-slip travel!!
