HWH-NJP Shatabdi awaiting clearance at BRPA. Within few seconds, down HWH Raj came thrashing through, and only then the Shatabdi was allowed to go and crawl to the Reverse Line. (There was a Freight on the UP Main) — with Chandril Bhowmick and Pritam Das.

Siliguri has developed into a Metropolis... It is well connected by Air to leading Indian Cities like Delhi/Mumbai/Chennai/Bangalore/Kolkata/Guwahati/Combiatore/Pune...
Not only that International Connections were made some years ago to Bangkok by DrukAir... Bagdogra is now an International Airport...

By trade volume Siliguri is next to Kolkata... Tourism sector has seen a boom this year for availability of more trains...

surely developments will happen........the introduction of trains like shatabdi,padatik,karmabhoomi,njp-ndls bi-weekly,njp-chennai,intercities,a whole lot of DEMUs was done in that point of time and has facilitated to a gr8 extent......the intent is always ok as north bengal was taken into consideration as was missing previously........

need-1.siliguri-jalpaiguri twin city concept.distance to be covered in 20 minutes.by-pass expressway should be planned.
2.New engineering/medical colleges in hills.
3.IT and Electronics hub-need new pvt players,provide sops,encourage new start-ups,mid-sized companies......
