Siliguri Jn (SGUJ): The ‘Brihattama Siliguri Nagarik Mancha’ demanded the name of the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station to be changed to New Siliguri Railway Station....
then railway should ask them to help IR to clear the railway area near howcker's corner, mahabir sthaan first then they should say about changing the name..... they dont bothered about the trains facing probs wen travveling to SGUJ from NJP... with a very slow speed...i think Brihattama Siliguri Nagarik Mancha should solve this problem of illegal enroachment first and then ask for new DIV ....

Confusion will be there in the initial days but every thing will become normal. There are stations like New Alipurduar and Alipurduar Jn and there isn't any confusion among the passengers. Metro stn gulor naam mahapurushder upore rakha tai confusion.
problem holo junction ta nie... NEW ALIPURDUAR/ ALIPUR DUAR JUNCTION is ok.... but NEW SILIGURI JN/ SILIGURI JN will create confusion...
