Route can be mys mya kgi sbc kjm kpd tnm tirukovillur villupuram . Main train continues towards melmarvathur, chengalpattu. Slip towards pdy.
Strong reasons for this route
1. A very large population of devotees visit tiruvannamalai, for which the road connectivity between krishnagiri n tnm is very very bad.

100 s of buses ply between sbc and other parts of karnataka to melmarvathur. The same road and travel beyond tnm is also pathetic.
3. Pdy is a famous tourist destination and direct train to pondy will improve tourism.
As the road travel to pondy is a nightmare between krishnagiri and tnm , and from there, both routes are bad for atleast half the stretch , ie either via villupuram or via gingee n tindivanam. Tindivanam to pondy road is tolled , but one of the best roads in india.
