Yesterday I had a harrowing experience while travelling through Gujarat Express on 1st Class Compartment. It was really a travel through hell, which any Reserved
Passengers would never want to experience in life. I alongwith my family travelled from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. At each and every station hoards of Pass Holders boarded the train and just pounced on every available space with little or no room to even properly breathe. Atleast the authorities should have mentioned either in the ticketing site or whereever it is possible to passengers to know beforehand that passholders are also allowed to board reserved 1st Class Compartment, which will enable the passengers booking for reservation in 1st Class Compartment to think

twice before booking a ticket for reservation. Not only that, these passholders and, I do not know whether even second class passengers boarded the 1st class, because the TT hardly checked the passholders, while they were punctual in checking the reservation seats. They were not ready to answer or take care of reserved passengers plight. I would urge the administation and the authorities to look into this matter, since a First Class Ticket costs a bomb and the passenger expects atleast a comfortable travel , instead of a travel which was like herds of cows being pushed into a small cowshed where the poor creatures have hardly any space to breathe. I would like to mention that, these passholders were very rude and abusive and went to any extent to pounce on what space they were able to seat themselves. They also threaten to lock the cabin doors from outside if it is not opened to let them in. My suggestion is that, at least a separate 1st Class compartment be given to Passholders, so they do not pounce and disturb the peace and comfort of reserved passengers.

Tks for your reply. I would like to add also that, a Railway Policeman who
boarded at Bharuch, and thinking that we may get some relief if we complain to him, spoke to him about the problem, but he turned a deaf ear and replied that "You please talk to the Attendent and not to me". There was no Attendent right from the start at all nor a TT available at that time in the Train. Most of the passholders tell that they are Rly Employees and therefore they are authorised to sit in the Reserved Seats also. The funny thing this Railway Policeman did was that he brought 2 ladies to our cabin and made

them sit alongwith us telling that these ladies are his Madams and they will be getting down at Valsad. Inspite of the Cramped Seats, we were forced to let them sit also. A person also got in at Anand Jn, telling that he was a staff of Railway Guard on duty and so was wearing a Uniform type of dress without any badge or any indication that he was an employee and forcefully came and sat down in our seat saying that he was on petrol duty. When we asked him to show the ID card, he was unable to produce it and was saying that he will show to only his higher authorities and not to common passengers. So when we insisted to show his Duty Sheet or ID, the passholders also did not support him and he had to go out. If this is the situation then even terrorists or trouble makers can easily get in and create situations which will be detrimental to the railways and our country. When Reserved Seat Passengers are
asked to produce Voter ID or any such document to verify whether the tickets are
genuine, why can't the TT check the other passengers sitting in the reserved seats
not meant for them and take the necessary step to remove them from the Reserved Seat.
