You are right in elaborating the reasons. But twice a week Duronto with SL and AC class will be a hit in the following sectors for sure.

i used to think they did well year round. but couple of months back i think vinay had brought to my attention that they do well mostly during festival season. rest of the year its average load factor. Things may have changed now. Since i could not make an appropriate call about it i described it temperamental.
duronto required in high demanded routes like lucknow-mumbai, vizag-hyderabad, howrah-jaipur, howrah - chennai, mumbai-newdelhi.. these will decrease the load on pushpak, godavari, jodhpur exp, coromandel, mumbai raj etc..
