I got to know from my friend to board in trains like satabdi and rajdhani you should buy a plateform ticket and then discuss with TTE, if available you will get ticket inside train
Platform ticket wont be sufficient. At least a superfast journey ticket is needed.
U need First-Class Unreserved Ticket & TTE will charge Fare Difference over it.

Just because of a railway rule with allows a passenger to board any(it depends too) train with PF ticket if he couldn't able to get a proper general class ticket from counter. now the modus operandi is while making EFT the TTE mentions PF tickets serial number and charges rest of applicable fare. Technically speaking the passenger is not trawling with out ticket.
