Seems like news channels have totally neglected rail budget :(
News channels especially the national media since long have been oblivious to the railways, the good and bad of it,its passengers, their woes etc. They at best try to hound the railway stations few days before the event, or make a train journey, speak to a few odd passengers here and there and compile a report. Such is their state that they hard find 'experts' to discuss the rail budget on their shows. The days wont be far when national television approach guys from IRI to do some taking in their studios. :)
I would be more than happy to discuss problems of NWR on news channel :)
.
On a srious note , you are absolutely right Tejas 2-3 years ago , i would be glued to news channels a day before and on the day as they discuss it as most Imp news of the day . But today no news channel like star , aajtak , zee even mentioned the budget line ....
