Anil Kumar Katragadda 6 blog postsWhy this train is required 3 days a week, with only 5 reservation compartments. Cant't this be reduced to weekly once and rail traffic congestion can be reduced.
The reduced services can be utilised for starting a new train from
Chennai to Kalka, which is now the main route for army to reach LEH; one more train from Chennai to Amritsar.

This train is not a superfast train. It runs as a Fast Passenger in a few stretches along the way. Benefits local passengers for short distances. Also it has High Capacity Luggage Vans for transporting mail and luggage.
