train driver's assistant was briefly detained by the forest department but later released after questioning. The incident happened as a herd of 23 elephants was crossing the railway track, and one of them got hit by a goods train called 'N Box'. The forest department sent the injured elephants to a safe location in the Sagwan forest for treatment. Several trains were delayed due to the train stoppage, including the Samaleswari Express. The forest department had informed the railway authorities about the elephants in the area for the past three-four days, but no concrete steps were taken, according to the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO). The Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr. DCM) stated that several measures have been taken to prevent elephants from entering the railway tracks, including iron barricading and speed control in elephant zones.

Forest department ne train driver ke assistant ko thodi der ke liye hissat mein liya, lekin baad mein sawal-jawab ke baad chhod diya. Yeh ghatna tab hui jab 23 hathiyon ka jhund railway track paar kar raha tha, aur unme se ek 'N Box' naam ke maalgaadi ke chapet mein aaya.
