Urgent need to either introduce the sleeper VB from JBP to NZM or increase MPSK's frequency/quota for Jabalpur. Some of my co passengers who are onboard the train with me had RAC 7 today morning and it did not get cleared.

The answer is yes, but only if the connectivity is really fast. See, right now that connectivity from JBP to Delhi is only provided by MPSK and to a lesser extent Gondwana.
Please note the following facts:
1. The RAC issue I mentioned is for 2 AC

Back in 2009-2011, the average speed of this train was higher than current RKMP Vande Bharat despite the fact that is travelled to NDLS instead of NZM

I agree with your point at an overall level. Even Coro, Geetanjali have been slowed down drastically from the time they were introduced. DQ my friend is a slightly different case. A lot of the slowdown with DQ has to do with increase in number of coaches. 12001/12002 kwas given meaningless slacks from 2012-2016. This in turn led to a flurry of new halts proposed some of which make zero sense
Observing this in every journey of MPSK. It arrives Bina Malkhedi comfortably by 12.30 am. Then despite not having a stop, it is made to halt there for nearly 20 min. This is done to allow Shaan-E-Bhopal (which is usually late) to leave ahead of MPSK. Despite, MPSK having an arrival before SEB at NZM and every station enroute. What weird kind of controlling is this.

Jordan bhai.
Malkhedi to Agasod outer is WCR territory. Yesterday, it was heights. MPSK was again held at Malkhedi and SEB went ahead. Then at Morena, SEB had an extended halt and MPSK did an overtake at 130. It seems like controllers across both WCR and NCR have schedule and priorities mixed up.

IndianRailwayslover~ 2234 blog postsMy love for you started when someone told us about you are getting inaugurated (cant remember the year) and that you have very few halts like a Rajdhani train. I immediately fell in love with you. I made you my companion for all my journeys (barring 2-3). I remember getting down at DDU (erstwhile MGS) at 1:25 am and waiting for the 5 am passenger train to Zamania still you were my first preference and you always will be. You now started stopping at my home station making it easier for me. I generally prefer LHB coaches but your ICF coaches are still acceptable and you will still be my companion for next journey. Love you 12141 12142 forever.

The legend of ET-ALD section. Back in those days, ET-ALD did not have many superfast trains due to unelectrified and single line stretches. 12165/66 Ratnagiri was an express upgraded to superfast and 12411/12 JBP-NZM Gondwana only ran in JBP-KTE. But this train was something else.
1. When inaugurated, it was always given Platform 1 in Jabalpur in either direction (only Mail and Gyan Ganga shared this privilege).

Okay sir. I was not born back in the 1977 :)
but I do recall my late grandfather (who worked as an engineer in Steam Loco Shed Jabalpur) telling me GK was a Superfast long time back (it was downgraded to Express in early 90's I guess). I do not know, when Ratnagiri stopped skipping Katni but back in mid-2000's it certainly had a Katni halt. May be wrong here.

One can interpret it that way. But yes, from what all I have heard regarding it's inauguration, Coromandel was launched as a Rajdhani equivalent of East Coast. It could not get the official Rajdhani tag as it was not travelling to Delhi. Back then, it would cover the distance between HWH-MAS in 25 hours both ways. Take a look at its original TT. People like Mani Vijay Sir, who were present in 1977 can comment better. I was born in 1988. :)
