AC class is safe to travel in spj division based trains.You may find WL passengers but generally TTE deal with them strictly.

Situation of AC class in this route is far better.For 1A/2A you will not find any extra passenger. In 3A also some WL pax may disturb but RPF and TTE are active so they move them near the gangway area.

SidharthRai 324 blog postsTravelled in Gorakhdham Express from Ndls to Gkp on 23rd April.Due to the cc of the train 3ac has good availability so got RAC 58 cleared.Was alloted seat in B10 which was 21 made(212485/NE) and had decent maintenance considering the turnaround at BTI.Staff in this train has always been helpful.While waiting for the loco at the front end of pf the crew from PRJY divn taking over from Ndls sat beside me.Had a good chat with them and watched IPL match with them.37079 Pune WAP 7 was the link and the loco is a great honker.Had a good run got delayed at Cnb due to pf issue. Later LKO trolled us as had a good run from Cnb to Manaknagar but waited at outer for 30 mins.Post Bbk track upgradation work by NER is clearly visible no slowdowns and very few restrictions.Fencing for 130 kmph is clearly visible at some...

Third line work between Gonda kachari to Burhwal is also being done at good pace.Work between Maijapur to Gdk is little slow and Gdk to Gd also due to some encroaching structure near Gd.On all the stations of the strech pf work was ongoing for 3rd line.
Additional signal installation was done on most strech from Mankapur to Gorakhpur with Maghar Jagatbela alredy equipped with ABS.Missed taking the picture of automatic signal with A marker in NER territory.Also some more loco pics at Gkp as we reached with 1 hr delay due to the pf being occupied by Gkp Humsafar.Up line in morning appears to be a freight corridor as crossed more than 15/20 freight train along with 4/5 pass trains from Gkp like intercity .

Form TA912 was issued to 13174 which is used for passing the train in automatic section after failure.Speed is limited to 25 kmph and manual signalling to be followed.LPs can disregard the red aspect and cross the signal in on position.But not more than one train should be passed in such section looks like due to some miscommunication freight train was also authorised to enter the section after a gap of 15 mins in the section.Appears to be the same case like in Vizag rear end crash.For more Automatic section rule can be seen.

According to form T/A 912 no train should be given /issued clearance untill the block section between two stations is cleared by the prior train.After confirmation only the next train should be allowed.So maybe controllers/SM to save detention had instructed to go more than the restricted speed as the speed is definitely not near 25/30 kmph.A incident of similar nature was seen in Southern railways where T/A 602 was followed by relief loco and the officers pressured to run the loco at 50 kmph instead 15 kmph.When Loco pilot refused he was given chargesheet which was later taken back after backlash.
Lps don't take steps on there own in most cases.They know that what implications are there for not following speed restrictions.It is mostly from the officers who force them to do so for saving detentions and show good punctuality results in the zonal railways and at the board.Incident of Southern railways has been attached in reply below where LP was given chargesheet even when he followed all rules just because he disregarded his seniors instructions to break the rule.

Don't believe blindly on anything published.It was just to pass the blame to the dead in Vizag crash.Phones of both LP and Alp in Vizag crash was analysed by SrDSTE (Senior divisional signal and telecommunications officer)&SrDSO (Senior divisonal safety officer) of Waltair division and no evidence was found.CRS report also has no mention.It was just an speculation and our attention seeking RM tried to pass the blame.In rest all cases fatigue after long duty was the cause.Why not provide Lps with proper working ACs,washrooms proper rest and then make them accountable?

There were multiple faults.SM had issued them private no and authorization to go which is not the SOP in failure of Automatic signalling.The LPs of 08504 were reluctant to cross the signal in danger/red but SM asked them to do so.Also adequate evidence was not available with the CRS as the train manager in inquiry had not presented his Train journal and didn't explain the conversation of LPs with SM as they may come under inquiry.

Real reason for the derailment at RPR of 12506 was track fatigue and loco not completely fit.But no one was made accountable for it .The conclusion of the report was shared in the forum.ECR is yet to take action on SrDEN(Senior Divisional Engineer).

ECR HQ has asked action to be taken in the review meeting but DNR division and it's Engineering department is known for deep corruption.This will be managed by them.
