Happy to hear that Janshatabdis stop in Aluva nd Chertala would be cancelled.After provision of stop in Chertala this train was always reaching Ernakulam late by 15mins or so.Hope this move is welcomed by all and that the train would arrive Ernakulam even before 9.15.....:-)

Going by the train timings from July-1,2014 (indian rail website) it appears that 7 stoppages have been removed although there is no significant change in timings. It continues to remain the same.Lets hope that there are no public and political pressure to restore the same.
The stops that are not appearing from July 1 are :PARASHSHALA,CHIRAYINKIL,KADAKAVUR,PARAVUR,SASTHANKOTTA,TRIUPUNITTURA and PUDUKAD.

Separate ticket for JS...
Tickets would be available from counter only if there are vacant seats.. Moreover passengers won't be allowed to travel with higher class tickets except sleeper.. Railway is returning the premium title for JS as if when it was introduced...
