idea to propagate the message across the country.
This is happening for the first time in the country. This is the first such train in whole Indian Railways to be fully branded with a State Government publicity campaign.
Assam is now the first state of using this unique advertising style by fully branding the train for propagation of the “Awesome Assam” campaign. This train plys between Kamakhya (Guwahati) in Assam and Yesvantpur (Bengaluru) in Karnataka covering a distance of 3025 km passing through many important cities and towns of India. Thus, it has a tremendous potentiality to provide maximum publicity of the tourism sector of Assam.
The train was hauled by Twin ALCo WDM3A locomotives from DLS Andal (UDL), ER. The leading unit is 16265R while the trailing unit is 16450R.
