For sometime I am unable to understand process to have double discharge platforms. Is there any set guideline to be followed. Any big disadvantage over benefits.

#Thakurli, #KanjurMarg or #Kurla have platform #1 - which are double discharge.
#Dadar (platform #4) or #Kalyan (platform #1), although sufficient space is available fences are placed.
