After Ranchi Junction, Hatia (HTE) is the 2nd station in Ranchi to have Up Escalators. This would really be helpful for special needs & elderly folks.

MLA Navin Jaiswal, inaugurated the moving stairway, which was procured and installed for Rs 1.44 crore.
DRM (Ranchi) Deepak Kashyap said the station was the second in the railway division after the capital to flaunt an escalator. "Hatia station will boast an elevator in the near future while the first-class waiting lounge at Ranchi will be completed soon," he said
Kashyap added that the week-long programme that ended on Wednesday was all about connecting with people and making travel by train passenger-friendly.
