There will be five stations between Cantt Station and Godaulia. The stations will be built at Cantonment Railway Station, Banaras Hindu University, Rath Yatra, Girjaghar, and Godaulia Chauraha. The total distance of the ropeway will be 3.8 kilometers, which will be covered in about 16 minutes by nearly 150 trolley cars that run at a height of approximately 50 meters. A trolley will be able to carry 3000 people per hour, i.e. 6000 people can arrive from both directions in an hour. The ropeway will operate for 16 hours a day. The ropeway will be completed in two years. Trolleys will be available to passengers at intervals of every one and a half to two minutes every day.
