On September 3 and 4, several trains in Visakhapatnam have been cancelled due to a lack of rakes. This double dekker is successful train running from past 12 years. 2ACC are replaced with 2GS and total 5GS are running now with 600 new capacity. It would not be scrapped or replaced with intercity coaches. In future you may see introduction of Vande Metro with 16 coaches with fare in between GS and ACC.
This DD is doing well. Now with the addition of 5 2S coaches, it may be on par with Brindavan...
Not now. But Maybe after 4-5 yrs. If they introduce any new DD rakes, then we can expect the replacement. And this is one of the successful trains b/w MAS & SBC. And CC price is just 580 only which is less than the price of AC VOLVO Buses, Shatabdis, VBs and 3AC of Overnight trains b/w MAS-SBC.
