Is this train usually canceled during winters? I need to go to Gwalior from Lucknow and it is the only direct connection. Do suggest a backup option as well [ even if it involves looping around at multiple stations, I am no stranger to using multiple trains to reach destination ].
I know the status of Gomti, the least preferred train b/w Lucknow and Delhi :p. There is a reason why ticket is easy to get. But yes, it's often delayed, especially in winters.
Wait, the road overbridge can be closed on a national highway? Wouldn't that stop all traffic on the route.
haan sometimes, overbridge is shut due to maintenance and hence NH is shut as well.
not only wrt LKO-NDLS train, I was referring to more of excessive crowd, unreserved passengers, etc. Anyways, Gomti is meant more of for intermediate passengers now rather than e2e.
Yeah, daily passengers use it a lot. I did travel it end to end once. My back didn't take too well to the journey :p.
I recently traveled from LKO to CNB in it and it was half empty. I guess due to it's early morning departure from LKO, hardly any daily pax will find it useful and it would get it's crowd post CNB.
