Train Number 07377/78 Vijayapura-Mangaluru Jn Express Special is the only train connecting North Karnataka and Coastal Karnataka. This single train connects famous places like Vijayapura,Gadag,Hubballi,Davanagere,Hassan,Subrahmanya,Puttur and Mangaluru and is also very useful for pilgrims who travel to Kukke Subrahmanya,Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala. But,recently some people have tried to divert this train via Madgaon Jn. For this oppositions have been made. As per my opinion, this train should run via existing route itself and it should be regularised and should be made to run at convenient timings. This should run from Bidar to Mangalore via Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Hubli, Subrahmanya 4days and run 3days via Madgaon. So Coastal Karnataka also gets connected with North Karnataka

This train has critical response by passengers in existing route. So there is no point of running it via Madgaon. If needed new train can be made to run via Madgaon between Mangaluru and Hubballi
