Officially, the number is still 17488/87 as bookings are still open through the same number. Moreover, the circular to rename was overturned by ECoR. Maybe the boards were ready by the time decision was changed, and these boards were put up.
Agree with you i also just saw that the number is showing old in IR official site. As i need confirmation thanks for clearing my doubt.

This area definitely needs more connectivity. Connections to Rayalaseema from the rest of Andhra is very less. Rayalseema has some services to Hyderabad and many do break journeys or rely on Prasanti and HWH VSG are running with full capacity.
Extension to palasa is not necessary. If the PM is shifted to VSKP ,train can be extended up to NDL.
When you consider the necessity and need of travelling public of Guntur Vijayawada or Rajahmundry the extention to Palasa will is 50% more then the demand of the people of Vskp VjA section towards Nandyal based on the migration of people who work in VJA Guntur and farm labour.
The special train which is between vizag and SMVT should run via guntur Nandyal guntakal and sspn. Which is useful

It is best to separate the RSA of Simhadri Express and Palnadu Express. It is required to extend Simhadri Express to Nandyal because it is useful for Srisailam passengers mainly and change PM to Visakhapatnam. How many individuals are in support of this statement?
