Government ne timely completion ke liye funds allocate kiye hain aur land acquisition ko closely monitor kiya hai. Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) ne planning, development, aur financing mein key role nibhaya hai. Ye corridors faster transportation, industrial hubs tak improved connectivity, aur higher axle load trains aur double-stack container trains ko enable karenge. Isse new industrial development, Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals, aur overall economic growth mein boost aayega, kyunki yeh seamless movement of goods ko facilitate karega aur trade and commerce ko boost karega.

PM instead of Chennai Central. The Coimbatore-Chennai Shatabdi Express has been cancelled. The Chennai-Ahmedabad (12656) Navjeevan Express will depart from Tambaram at 3 PM and will halt at Chennai Egmore. The Vande Bharat Express from Vijayawada to Chennai has been cancelled. The train from Mumbai to Chennai Central will halt at Tiruthani. Similarly, the train from Delhi will also halt at Tiruthani. Seven trains that were scheduled to arrive at Chennai Central will be diverted to Tiruthani and Chennai Beach stations. The Vande Bharat Express from Coimbatore to Chennai Central will now depart from Chennai Beach. The Coromandel Express from Chennai Central to Shalimar will also operate from Chennai Beach.

Cyclone Michaung | Southern Railway cancels 69 long-distance train but resumes suburban train services in Chennai

Due to Cyclone Michaung, Southern Railway cancelled 69 long-distance trains on December 6, 2023, and also short-terminated 13 train services. Chennai Central-Vijayawada Vande Bharat (20678), Kovai Express (126767), Chennai Central-Bengaluru Shatabdi (12028), and Chennai Central-Thiruvananthapuram (12695) were among the cancelled trains. Suburban train services were restored on December 6th from Moore Market Complex (MMC) towards Avadi, Tiruvallur, and Arakkonam at an hourly frequency. Chennai Beach-Gummidipoondi services also resumed. Earlier, on December 5th, Chennai Beach-Tambaram-Chengalpattu and Chintadripet-Velachery suburban services were restored at 30-minute intervals.
