17230 speeded up by 25min to 18:05 @TVC

Not a big change as I anticipated. I would say 17229 could've speeded up by 25-30 mins. 17230 at least could've speeded up by 40-45 mins. Looks like added slack in between stations. If this was the big change they were going to make might as well continue stoppage @ SRR.

Along with other trains like DHN-Allp, Raptisagar group, Korba and Indore TVC, Sabari was also intially supposed to by pass SRR. The passenger associations from Calicut side wanted it to come to SRR as there was no Hyd train for them and SRR was a good option . So except Sabari all other trains started by passing SRR. Ideally now Sabari can easily save close to 1 hr. But it depends on SR (TVC div) if they are willing to receive it earlier in TVC or not

This train has always been at odds with both zones, SCR and SR. There was a plan to make it SF with PM at TVC and Turn around at SC. SR rejected it. Maybe now such a plan can come to completion. Also, SR just kept increasing it's run time between TVC and CBE. Earlier 17229 used to depart from TVC at 0715. 17230 always reaches early at QLN by 30-40 min. Now whole track between KYJ and ERN is doubled but SR is not in a mood to speed it up. Even SCR can speed it up in the GNT SC section. This notice, however, was different.
Hope sabari will speed up and arrive cbe before Mas shatabdi departs from cbe

How are all other trains with ICF running on time between JTJ and KPD while this train frequently gets delayed by hours together in this section!? I also think that even minimum cleaning is also not done to this train and it leaves just as it is as Paddu to TPTY. How can they do it when pairing train runs 3-4 hrs late almost on a daily basis?!

70 mins is nothing seen it lose good 2-3 hrs easily in this section and it just adds till crosses RU and also further 30 mins delay added at GDR sometimes..

Agree.. on PR it is 70mins, but in actual easily +2hrs... there after delay adds up Singleline congestion +40min.. TPTY-RU congestion +30min... GDR +30 min
12864, 12246 SMVB-HWH also gets affected with the same issue in this sectionl ike seshu.. 12246 duronto escapes singleline cong and reduces some delay and enjoys some preference by OT's in RU-BZA section

When even SCR is continuously delaying it's home zone trains, we can't expect anything from other zones.

This train primarily connects HYD with Kerala. Important train. One rake addition will solve the problem. However, train is not SF, so priority is less for this train.
