SC/BZA/GTL division LP's are well trained in 3-phase locos. There is no difference in WAP5 or WAP7 etc. All the 3-phase locos are almost similar w.r.t driving.
LGD shed said NO for WAP5's long back. So, chances of getting WAP5's are very negligible.
Also, I see there is no such need of WAP5's in the south because in south there are no high speed lines for which mainly WAP5 is used for (this is purely my opinion only).
