Muri Jn Railway Station.
#History:- The Purulia-Ranchi line was opened as a
narrow gauge railway of BNR in 1907.
1927, Bengal Nagpur Railway opened the
116-kilometre (72 mile) Chandil-Barkakana
section to traffic.
The construction of the 143 kilometres (89 mile)
long Chandrapura-Muri-Ranchi-Hatia line
started in 1957 and was completed in 1961.
#Lines:-GMO-MURI Branch Line,BRKA-TATA Branch Line,RNC-MURI Branch Line.
#Majorindustries:- Aluminum smelter plant of the Indian
Aluminum Company, operating since 1938, is
located here. The company is now owned by
Hindalco Limited of Aditya Birla Group .
