Copenhagen was among the first European cities to fully adopt the ATO system and Metro Chief Piero Marotta explains, “The big benefit of having a driverless system is the safety – the element of human error is taken completely out”.Automated networks provide more predictable running times, energy optimization and automated failure detection and response systems. “There are mostly advantages for the passengers," says Siemens Mass Transit General Manager Frank Gerken.... more... |
