The Quilon to Senkottai Railway section should be swapped to the THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Division from Madurai Division in lieu of the Nagercoil-Tirunelveli Railway section.Since in the Quilon - Shenkottai section most part comes under the Kerala State territory and the entire Nagercoil-Tirunelveli Railway Line comes in the Tamilnadu territory.
Since at present no Gauge Conversion works in the Tiruvananthapuram Division ,the Quilon-Shenkottai Section may be taken by them in the interest of GC Works and complete the GC Works early around 2 years BY THE INFLUENCE OF THE POWERFUL COOPERATIVE 20 MP s.If this section continued in Madurai Division, GC Works may be taken more than 10 years for completion.
