Railway fares increases proposal should be negatived by our Honourable PM for the benefit of the poorest common people.
We oppose the D .K.MITTAL committee report to increase fares and minimum distance travel in train by the poorest common people.
Passenger Train fares are same as Tamilnadu town bus fares .
Example.
...
more... Kovilpatti to Satur ( 21 km in Madurai Division under SR ) PASSENGER TRAIN fares are Rs 10 .Tamilnadu state transport town bus fares also Rs 10 only and Rajapalayam Bus Depos long distance buses in the TN STATE TRANSPORT also collect Rs 10 only.
So IR SHOULD DROP ANY PROPOSAL TO HIKE PASSENGER TRAIN FARES AND EXPRESS TRAIN FARES for the short distance passenger.
.Other Non stop Tamil Nadu state transport buses charges Rs 13 only.
But IR charges for Express Train fares Rs 45.SF with additional surcharge Rs15 ,total fares Rs 60 .
So after the last hike in railway fares short distance passenger are avoiding train journey in SF , Expresses and passenger.
Express fares are 4.5 times over bus fares and Super Fast fares are 6 times over Tamilnadu State Transport Bus fares .
Also minimum Passenger train travel distance should be kept as at present 10 km and the Express train distance travel also should be reduced to 25 km from the present 50 km .Sub urban and Metro minimum distance travel should be kept as 5 km.
Our IR fares should be benefitted to the poorest common man to travel all round the India whether it is very short distance or very long distance WITH LESS FARES.
Our IR should be serviced better for the short distance passenger of the common poor people of the INDIAN SUBCONTINENT under PM MODIJ .Our PM first day national speeches stressed that NDA government served better for the poorest among the poor people in INDIA.
